How do you actually find a detailer who knows what they're doing with paint correction? (28 อ่าน)

I'm finally ready to stop just doing the automatic wash and want to get my car properly detailed, especially to deal with some of the light swirl marks in the paint from all the dust here. But I'm finding it really hard to separate the places that just do a quick wax and vacuum from the ones that genuinely understand paint. I've been reading about the importance of things like using a clay bar before polishing and the different grades of cutting compounds, but when I talk to some shops, they just give me a price and a timeframe without really explaining their process. I'm worried about letting someone inexperienced use a rotary polisher on my car and making things worse. I'd love to get some genuine professional auto detailing recommendations from people who have had actual paint correction or high quality ceramic coating done. Not just a place that makes the car shiny for a day, but somewhere with certified technicians who use good products like Gtechniq or XPEL and will take the time to do the prep work properly in a dust free environment. If you've had a really good experience with a detailer who clearly knew their craft and stood by their work, please share who you went with.
