I have been dealing with this horrible screeching noise every time I come to a stop for about two weeks now. Turns out I had a small stone lodged between the backing plate and the rotor, which I never would have thought to check. Twenty minutes with a screwdriver and the noise is completely gone. I feel stupid for driving around with that racket for so long over something so simple. Anyone else ever had a tiny rock cause a massive noise scare?
