Does a more expensive battery actually last longer in summer or am I just paying for the brand name? (5 อ่าน)

Hi everyone, so this is my third summer in Dubai with the same car and I feel like every year around May or June my battery starts acting up. Last year I bought a mid range battery for around 400 dirhams from a random shop in Al Quoz and it worked fine until December but then the heat came back this year and now the car is struggling to start again especially in the afternoons when I leave work. My friend told me that cheap batteries use less lead and thinner plates so they just can't handle the extreme temperatures here no matter what the warranty says. He recommended that I spend more and go to proper Varta car battery experts Dubai because they use better materials and their batteries are designed for hot climates. But honestly I'm skeptical. Is there really a big difference or is this just marketing to make me feel like I need to spend 700 or 800 dirhams instead of 400? I don't want to be cheap if it means I'll be stranded on the side of the road in July but I also don't want to throw away money on something that will die in 18 months anyway. Has anyone here actually done a comparison like bought a budget battery one year and then a premium Varta the next year and noticed a real difference in how long it lasted? Also what about the warranty because I see some shops offering one year and some offering two years but I've heard that claiming warranty is a huge headache with most places. I just want something reliable that won't leave me stuck at a petrol station with my hazard lights on. Please share your real experiences because I need to make a decision this week before it gets even hotter.
